I consider myself a bridge builder, supporting my LGBTIQ2S and Latinx communities in accepting and including each other. I do this work as I believe we are more powerful when our intersectionalities are able to stand together!
My name is Val Ponce and I exist at the intersectional identities of Latinx, trans, LGBTQ, neurodivergent and immigrant. I am deeply passionate about promoting acceptance of LGBTIQ2S+ people of color through the power of inclusive language and culturally responsive information. Originally from Chihuahua, México, my passion for social justice, language and education was born out of a need to advocate for my own inclusion in a deeply conservative environment.
